The group are doing well, although when i spoke to mark this morning he said that they will not complete the building in the time that they have left, they are above window height and have worked very hard.

On Thursday evening they went to a festival in a monestry which mark said was excellent and enjoyed a lot.

They are set to leave the village on Tuesday morning, so tomorrow will be their last day of building before their long journey back to Kathmandu.

Saturday 18th october

When i spoke the stone cutter had arrived from Kathmandu and the group were making good progress, they have hired 11 stonemasons from a neighbouring village. Because the stone needed totally reshaping and cutting the group had blunt all their chisels which have now been sharpened.

Mark was about to set off on a walk with others from the group to see if they could see monkeys which live nearby. The village people are lovely and they sound to be having an amazing time.

Thursday 16th october

I spoke to mark yesterday and the group had started sorting the stone according to size into piles, they hit a stumbling block cause they were struggling to cut the stone with the equipment that they took. They ordered a machine from Kathmandu and were waiting for it to arrive. All say hello to home.
